What Are Tag Actions?
Tag Actions are a powerful automation feature that lets actions run automatically just by adding a tag to a note.
Examples
- Add the “Important” tag → The note is automatically highlighted in red
- Add the “Do Today” tag → The tag is automatically removed after one day
- Add the “Shopping” tag → The “ToDo” tag is also added automatically

1. Update to Current Date & Time
Re-registers the note as the most recent one and moves it to the bottom of the note list.
Example
- A note with the “Weekly Review” tag moves to the bottom once a week

- Never miss notes that need periodic review
- Improve visibility of important information
2. Change Priority
Automatically sets the note priority (from 1 to 5).
Examples
- “Important” tag → Priority 5 (red text, shown in widget)
- “Done” tag → Priority 1 (strikethrough)

3. Remove a Specific Tag
Automatically removes a designated tag from the note.
Examples
- “Do Today” tag → Removed after 1 day
- “Temporary” tag → Removed after 1 week

4. Add a Specific Tag
Automatically adds other related tags to the note.
Examples
- “Shopping” → Adds “ToDo” and “Outing”

5. Exclude from AI Summaries
Excludes the note from AI summarization.

How to Set Up Tag Actions
1. Tag Action Setup
- Long-press a tag in the Add Tag to Note dialog
- The Edit Tag screen opens
- Tap Set Actions
- Choose an Action Type from the dropdown
- Configure parameters if needed
- Set a Trigger
- When tag is added
- After X days
- Once per day
- Once per week
- Once per month
- Tap Save
2. Execution Timing
Immediate Execution
- When tag is added runs instantly
Delayed Execution
- After X days / Daily / Weekly / Monthly starts from the next day
- Conditions are checked and actions run:
- When the app is launched
- When returning from the background

Useful for automatically applying parent or related tags.
“Remind Me Tomorrow”
Remind Tomorrow tag
- After 1 day:
- Update to current date
- Change priority to 5

The note resurfaces automatically the next day.
“Remind Me Next Week”
Remind Next Week tag
- On Monday:
- Update to current date
- Change priority to 5
- Remove the tag (one-time reminder)

- On the 1st of every month:
- Update to current date

- Removed automatically after 1 day
Tag notes you want to include, filter by the tag, then run AI Summary.
The tag is cleaned up automatically the next day.

Execution Logic
Chained Actions
If a tag added by an action also has actions configured, those actions run automatically.
Execution Order
If multiple actions are set on a single tag, they run from top to bottom.
Loop Prevention
To prevent infinite loops, chained execution stops automatically after 10 iterations.

Q: How many actions can I set per tag?
A: Up to 5 actions per tag. We recommend keeping the number reasonable for performance.
Q: Can I temporarily disable Tag Actions?
A: Currently, temporary disabling is not available. Please remove the action if needed.
Q: What happens if tag actions create a loop?
A: The system automatically detects and stops execution.
Q: Can I see an execution history?
A: Execution history is not available yet. If an error occurs within 24 hours, error details will appear on the note.
Q: When are actions executed?
A: Conditions are checked when the app launches or resumes from the background, and actions run if conditions are met.
